FAQs

  • No, because we want to take care of you in the best way possible. When we make contractual agreements with insurance companies, we are bound by various restrictions, like how much time we can spend with you per visit and having to collect co pays every time you make an appointment. Here we have the freedom to see you as many times as you’d like and spend time with you at each appointment.

  • As an enrolled member, you will receive your provider's contact information and be able to reach her directly any time, any day!

  • Yes. Your insurance will be used to cover your lab work costs, imaging, specialist referrals, hospitalizations, etc. Many people are turning to high deductible insurance plans in order to pay lower monthly premiums. This works perfectly with our model. Save the insurance need for the "big stuff" and have your day-to-day needs addressed at A New Way Healthcare.

  • You may be able to use your HSA or FSA to pay for your membership and other in-office services. Please check with your tax advisor.

  • Come visit us! We'd love to meet you and give you a complimentary tour of the office. Our new patient coordinator will be happy to give you a tour, answer any questions you may have, and assist you with selecting a health plan that will fit your needs.

  • No. Your membership cost includes all office visits and communication with your provider. You can come or call as many times as you’d like and only pay one low monthly fee.

  • We want you to always receive the best care needed in a particular situation. If you were needing to go to a hospital you would be seen in the emergency room and cared for by one of the hospitalists. We will follow your care closely and be available to you by phone/text, if needed. Should you need to be seen by a specialist, we will arrange that referral for you and forward your insurance information to them. If you have insurance, it will be utilized for a specialist or hospital visit.

  • In our current healthcare system, people typically see their provider for an annual check-up or once you are already sick. Our goal at A New Way Healthcare is to really get to know you and understand your health goals. This takes time and ongoing communication. The majority of chronic disease (heart disease, diabetes, reflux, etc) is reversible especially if caught early. Plus, when a sudden illness or infection comes up, we are able to see you right away or handle it via phone or virtually. It’s like having your own health care provider on stand-by for when the need arises!

  • Because we get to know you well, we can often diagnose many illnesses by communicating via phone, text, or a virtual visit. We can also help you locate a nearby pharmacy and send over a prescription for you, should it be necessary.

  • Yes. The first two family members pay the regular rate, then any additional family member(s) receive a 20% discount off their membership rate. Currently we are currently accepting patients age 14-60.

  • We want to take care of you in the best way possible. When we make contractual agreements with insurance companies, we are bound by various restrictions which limit how we can provide care (ie. the limited amount of time we can spend per visit, limits on what types of tests we can order, having access to visits via phone or text, etc).

You may use your insurance to cover the cost of your lab work, imaging, referrals to a specialist, anything done outside of the office. The membership plan fee covers the cost of our many services and gives you peace of mind knowing you have access to your provider anytime.

  • Most people only visit their provider once a year or when they are sick. At A New Way Healthcare we believe in preventative health. Establishing a good relationship with your provider and knowing you can reach them at any time, is the foundation for creating a good health plan. By addressing concerns or issues as they arise, we can often prevent larger problems.

Think of your health care in the same way you take care of your car. You have car insurance for a big event, like a car accident. You pay out of pocket for your car’s maintenance- the oil change, the tire replacement. Your health care should be the same. Use your insurance for the high-cost events, like hospitalizations, but make an investment in your day-to-day needs by talking with your provider regularly, working on your nutrition, having the peace of mind knowing that someone is always there for you.
